COMMENTS FROM TELECLASS STUDENTS
"This class was a revelation... each session contained ideas that had a immediate impact on the way that I practice. I remember coming away from just the second class saying to myself that it had made the entire price of admission worthwhile. Certainly there were techniques, but this is more about learning what this thing we loosely call hypnosis is all about. Going back over my notes, I find that I'm still learning from the class, and I can recognize that it's likely that the learning process will continue for a long time to come." Robert A.
"Learning from Dan is a hypnotizing experience. He demands practice in real life situations, and moves you quickly past theory into what do you do when the client says “this”. His “wax on”, wax off” teaching style finds you participating to gain understanding. It is experiential, and never, ever, boring. I recommend you take his next class so you can add Pain Relief to your toolbox." Alan B.
"Dear Dan: Thank you for sharing your amazing talent in giving us another hypnosis tool. We will all be more aware when out and about. We will apply the lessons in our everyday observations and communications. To my classmates thanks for sharing your stories with me." Nancy H.
"I can tell you that your last teleclass's were great, really opened up my eyes and heart on how to best help my clients."
Scott C.
"Dan, I loved the classes. Last night I think I spent more time in trance during the call than in a wide awake state. Very interesting. There was actually about 40 minutes of the call that I have no conscious recollection of what was said. I do remember at one point snapping up out of it and realizing "hey I'm in trance." The trance came on quite slowly, so I didn't notice it happen."
"Dan Cleary is one of the clearest and most talented hypnosis instructors that I have studied under. I have attended three seminars on Hypnosis and Pain and Dan's Changing Pain workshop is best in class."

"Damn you’re good! I love your classes.
I came up with a name for your technique of getting people into hypno without them really knowing it. It’s called: The Dan Cleary Slide.
Even if you put out a notice you were teaching knitting by teleconference, I would sign up."

"You inspire me. and I think you can imagine how rare and important that is to me."
Thanks again.

"Dan does more than just teaching you how to help your clients deal with symptoms. He shows you how you can help your clients get their lives back."

COMMENTS ABOUT LITTLE BOOKS
"Once again Dan Cleary has produced a work of brilliance; Changing Pain ~ Relief is Realistic. The techniques may be applied to all areas of pain: body, mind, spirit and emotion. This insight-filled book is a roadmap that allows one to reduce pain plus fear, anger, and frustration and choose a 'better way' of living life. I encourage you to read, practice and share these concepts as you follow your path to wellness."
Anne Spencer, Ph.D., Royal Oak, MI "Changing Pains is an excellent resource for the practitioner as well as the client. Dan addresses pain in easy-to-understand language, while sharing profound techniques that elicit remarkable results. I would highly recommend this book to anyone." Robert F. Otto, Chief Executive Officer - International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association
"Changing Pains: Relief is Realistic, is a guidebook for people needing control over pain, and for those who care for others in pain. While not intended to substitute for certain curative forms of medical treatment, this brief guide offers those in pain straightforward, easily accomplished strategies to lessen misery and suffering, while providing effective self-help methods leading to improved quality of life. Changing Pains reads easily, is clearly written, challenges readers to reframe and rethink their pain, and ultimately make changes. Dan Cleary has written Changing Pains to be compact, portable, and filled with lots of “take home” messages."
B. Eliot Cole, MD, MPA, Executive Director, American Society of Pain Educators
"I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome by the Veterans Administration as a result of my participation in several conflicts during my tenure in the military, the Vietnam conflict being most problematic. I suffered from repetitive dreams about military service and was rarely able to sleep well. I saw numerous counselors at VA throughout the past 20 years. I was counseled in the traditional manner as most other veterans, placed on sleep medication, when necessary, all of which did not help much at all. I came upon Dan Cleary's "Little Book of Change" several months ago. I read it through and implemented the section on self hypnosis. I remember using the technique giving myself a short and positive suggestion about my experiences in the military, and that was the first night that I could remember, in a long time, that I did not have some dream containing a military experience. I used this technique several times that week and have been free of the recurring dreams that I had experienced for so long. I am deeply grateful to Dan for his production of the Little Book of Change and believe that this little book can change one's life for the better. I felt so strongly about what it did for me, so I enrolled in one of Dan's classes on Hypnosis" Col Martin A. Stevens, USAF Reserve (ret)
"I would like to nominate Daniel Cleary, for the TRIUMPH AWARD, and my reasons are given below: I had suffered synptoms of Fibromyalgia for almost 20 years and tried a wide variety of conventional treatments, with no significant relief. Several years ago, a friend gave me a copy of LITTLE BOOK OF CHANGE by Daniel Cleary. I was very impressed by this booklet, and shortly thereafter I made the acquaintence of Dan when he visited this area. At my request, he took me on as a client and through his method of hypnosis, I quickly gained control of my own pain. He guided me in self-hypnosis technique for pain mamagement and gave me the tools I needed to continue my own treatment, and with effect, take back my life. Dan Cleary is a caring, insightful and effective prectioner; more importantly, his writings - including his latest, CHANGING PAIN, clearly and concisely provide an understanding of pain and awaken readers to the real possibility of changing their lives. His willingness to share his knowledge and unique ability to reach out and touch so many people make Daniel Cleary an obvious condidate for this TRIUMPH AWARD."

GENERAL COMMENTS
"A few years ago I had developed arthritis of my hands and Sjögren's syndrome, a dry eye condition that sometimes is associated with arthritis. My eye doctor was very concerned. All the women in my family for generations have had these problems. Dan did a session with me using his magic "Dance of the Double Helix" ideas and PUFF--all hand pain gone. As a hypnotist I wasn't too surprised by this. I continued working with his magic and in 6 months when I returned to eye doctor he wanted to know what I had been doing as all signs of problems were gone. I told him, "I'm changing my DNA using hypnosis". By the way I still have NO hand pain and my fingers are nearly straight again. I highly recommend this creative energetic light walking around calling itself Dan Cleary." Diane Pope, MSN,RN, CHt.
"I had the great benefit of being able to work with Dan Cleary before and after my Mastectomy surgery and contribute much of my very fast recovery to his work with me. I left the hospital the day after surgery, walking up the stairs to my apartment on the third floor that very day; my 'heaviest' pain medication was Tylenol. In preparing me for the surgery Dan did one formal hypnosis session the day before to deepen and re-enforce all anchors established prior to this day, all the other sessions were more or less done conversationally. Establishing a way to be able to relax almost instantaneously wa a very powerful tool, as well as learning that I can even use the touch of the marker used to mark the incision area to deepen my trance. Dan's work with me has enabled me to remain feeling in control even though the event was quite traumatic."

"Dan is one of those speakers/trainers who I would go see regardless of the topic he is presenting on. He is so insightful when it comes to presenting complicated concepts into easy to grasp tools. In the few occasions I have had the opportunity to train with Dan on the topic of pain, he has completely change the way I understand pain and how I can help my clients find relief. Dan does more than just teaching you how to help your clients deal with symptoms. He shows you how you can help your clients get their lives back."

"I rarely read every post in my emails, except yours. I ALWAYS learn something new from you and your techniques. Myla "We were introduced at the 2006 convention. You said something at your seminar which struck a chord in me which I will never forget. I will paraphrase " As a healer/change worker, if someone is lost in the woods and you want to help, them you can stand at the edge of the woods and shout to them hoping they will hear you, or you can go into the woods yourself and lead them out." I have been doing my best to be a leader." Roch
"Your respectful, professional and understated grace struck such a chord with me. In my hospice experience I learned to LISTEN and connect with clients and families. Everything you said, and how you said it amplified my values and beliefs. I hung on every word you said.
Mr. Cleary, you have become an instant role model for me.
Thanks so much for your insight, compassion and inspiration."
Best regards, Paul G. RN, BSN, CH
This from a friend of an other hypnotist who had sent him just the book:
"Thanks again for the little book "Changing Pain ~ Relief is Realistic". As you know I am a chronic pain sufferer. Pain is the most insidious of situations. It permeates our lives in so many ways. It never leaves. I take the little book with me to work and am learning much about our perception of pain and what we can do to ease suffering. It really takes someone who lives with pain to write a book about living with pain."
Thanks again, Chad
