Patricia (Pat) Sievert has been involved with hypnosis for over 30 years. She was a student of Silva Mind Control in the 1970’s. It was her personal experience using hypnosis in 1978 to easily birth her daughter that sparked her desire to help other women experience a comfortable birth.
Although not a nurse, Pat’s professional life exposed her to emergency rooms where she was able to assist women in crisis. She worked with rape and abuse victims to begin the process of healing and move toward a safer environment. After changing careers she used these skills as a medical office manager; however her love of hypnosis was still waiting to break free in a new career.
In 1998 she studied with Retha Martin and became a Certified Hypnotherapist with the IMHDA. She continued her studies and was able to sit with her husband, James Sievert, during his training with Dr. Anne Spencer at Infinity Institute. Once James became certified, the two opened Personal Growth Hypnosis Center together.
Pat has two main passions in the hypnosis field: one is to help as many people to stop smoking as she can; the other is to help women experience childbirth in a comfortable and natural way. She sees individual clients during the day and conducts group workshops in the evening. This October will be her 5th annual Great American Smoke Out where she donates her stop smoking program at a local hospital.
Pat and her husband came to realize that a state licensed program for Hypnotherapy training was in needed in North East Ohio. They contacted Dr. Jerome Beacham to inquire about opening an IMDHA school in Cleveland. In 2000 Personal Growth School of Hypnotherapy was created and approved by the IMDHA and the State of Ohio. Personal Growth School of Hypnotherapy is the only state licensed hypnosis school in the entire northern portion of Ohio.
The year 2000 also saw Pat continuing her training and becoming a Certified Child Birth Educator through the HypnoBirthing Institute and Imagery Birthing Institute.
Pat has continued to work with couples to help them achieve their goal and wants to share that information with you now and continue the process.
