This presentation will include a frank discussion of how to: Prepare for surgery, relax through surgery, begin healing even during the surgery process, enjoy a quick recovery and return to normal life. Michael Smith, PhD, has spent much of his life working with and educating cancer patients in pain relief techniques, management of side effects of chemotherapy, stress release and surgery preparation and recovery. When faced with his own cancer diagnosis he already knew what to do and that did not include being drugged into a coma. Without the drug load normally associated with surgery the body can start healing sooner and the patient recovers more quickly.

During this presentation he will share his experience as both a hypnotherapist and patient. This is a rare opportunity to discuss this topic with someone who has experienced surgery with hypnosis as the primary anesthesia.
